Position Summary
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will play a critical role in leading the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components. This position involves working on complex projects from concept through to production, ensuring all designs meet both customer requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with extensive experience in CAD software, FEA analysis, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and products, ensuring they meet functional, safety, and performance requirements.
Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
Perform simulations and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to validate designs and optimize for performance and manufacturability.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept through to production, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration of designs.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
