Senior .Net Developer required by our award-winning client in Central London. This hybrid role provides flexibility, requiring 1-2 days per week in the office.



The organisation is looking for a highly skilled .NET Developer with strong expertise in .NET/C# to enhance its software development team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining a diverse range of products, including sophisticated WPF-based desktop applications and robust backend services. This position presents an opportunity to take a leadership role, mentor junior developers, and uphold high technical standards across the product range.



Key Responsibilities



Software Development




  • Design and develop rich desktop applications using WPF.

  • Apply modern UI design principles and frameworks like MVVM to ensure code is structured, maintainable, and scalable.

  • Create and manage backend services, APIs, and libraries using .NET/C#.



Leadership & Teamwork




  • Conduct design and code reviews to maintain high development standards.

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to understand requirements and implement new features.



Quality Assurance & Best Practices




  • Write high-quality, well-documented code supported by unit and integration tests.

  • Continuously enhance performance, scalability, and security of applications.

  • Champion best practices and modern software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.



Ideal Background




  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in .NET/C# development.

  • Strong background in developing WPF desktop applications with an emphasis on design and usability.

  • Experience in designing and implementing backend services.

  • Knowledge of both .NET Framework and .NET Core.

  • A solid grasp of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

  • Advanced expertise in WPF, including XAML, data binding, custom controls, and UI animations.

  • Understanding of UI/UX principles to ensure functionality and aesthetics in applications.

  • Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.

  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.



The Desirables / Nice To Haves:




  • Experience developing VSTO Word Add-On, knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies, exposure to additional front-end technologies or modern UI frameworks, background in a product-focused or startup setting.
