If you want to be part of an international, ambitious, and challenging environment at the biggest ground handling organization of the world, please have a look at the job profile below and apply when you are interested.Job SummaryThe Senior Network Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of Swissport’s network infrastructure.The role reports directly to the IT Network ManagerYou will ensure the smooth operation of Swissport’s network infrastructure at a global level, including LANs, WANs, WLANs. Additionally, you will be tasked with assessing the organisations current and future networking needs, recommending upgrades or enhancements, and implementing security measures to protect against cyber threats. Job ResponsibilitiesSupporting network operations, including troubleshooting network issues, upgrades, optimising performance, and ensuring high availability.Supporting the SDWAN deploymentDesign and support of cloud networking (Azure and AWS)Deliver design and implementation of network security control, processes and systems.Collaborate with other departments to assess networking needs and develop solutions to meet business objectives.Maintain documentation of network topologies, configurations, procedures etcDeploy new network security technologies within the given timeline and budget.Provide technical advisory and recommendation in solution design, development, and system integration.Monitoring of network WAN usage and proactive recommendations.Monitor network traffic and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.Continual improvement of the network.Be the decision maker in solving technical problems, with support from IT Network Manager if required.Incidents, problems, service request & changes related to the network service/processes and managing these queues to deliver high customer satisfaction with the service.Collaborate with team members to drive network initiatives.Work with any outsourced vendor delivering a managed service. Coordinate with vendors and service providers to procure networking equipment, services, and support. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of networking.Travelling to Swissport stations to support network project delivery.Be the escalation for the engineer networks if required. Highly professional ‘CAN DO’ attitude that engenders confidence, respect and support. Proven experience (6+ years) routing, switching, firewall administration and SDWAN (Cisco, Meraki, Cato and other industry standard skills highly desirable).Previous experience of managing a large multisite complex network.Solid knowledge in secure network infrastructure, Anti-DDoS, Security Vulnerabilities Scanner, IDS/IPS, WAF, Secure MTA, Load Balancer, Internet Proxy, as well as DNS hosting.Expert understanding in TCP/IP Networking and Routing, and LAN / WAN / WLAN architectureKnowledge of industry direction such as SASE.Good knowledge of network security on vendor solutions such as CISCO ISE, CASB Zscaler, CATO, F5, Radware and/or equivalent.Valid CCNP certificate or similar.Holder of CCIE, HCIE, CIS, CISSP, CCSP certifications (desirable)ITIL foundation qualification (desirable)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively across all levels of the business.Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills as well as communication and facilitation skills.Ability to work and succeed in a dynamic and multi-cultural matrix organisation.Willingness to travel to all Swissport stations.Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary.Fluent command of oral and written English as the corporate language.Strong positive, service-oriented attitude and strong team-working ability.Cloud networking experience is required (AWS and Azure) Your next stepWhen you are looking for this key position as a Senior Network Engineer at a growing and changing international group that is headquartered in Zurich, we invite you to apply.
