Senior NPD Manager (Food)

This premium brand is rapidly expanding and are already market leaders in their sector, with ambitions to make an impact in new product areas. The brand has a big vision with exciting new possibilities and is looking for an amazing Senior NPD Manager to take the lead in creating new products in the ambient category. This role is 4 days a week based at the London HQ, with regular UK travel. The Role This is a great opportunity to be a key member of the Product Team in a broad role within a vibrant, entrepreneurial business. This newly created position will be pivotal to delivering the innovation strategy and pipeline, supporting the senior team to deliver strategic growth plans. You’ll be taking food and consumer trends and effortlessly translate these into able to into tangible products that fit with the brand’s values and ambitions. You’ll work closely with new and existing manufacturing partners on short and long-term innovation pipelines, taking ownership of projects (from concept to launch) and in the future, manage product optimisation projects to ensure existing ranges are still outperforming the competition. Another key aspect of this role is to build solid relationships with suppliers, co- manufacturers as well as internal teams to seamlessly deliver exceptional products to market, ensuring the brand excels in their health-focused categories. The Candidate We're looking for a talented NPD Manager who is pro-active and solutions led, with the product and project management skills to deliver NPD for a fast-paced brand. You know how to translate vision and strategy into viable products that are commercially sound and have a good understanding of packaging and sustainability. You will have a food science or related degree and must have experience of managing products from concept stage through to launch. Your experience will be from either a manufacturing, brand or retail environment but you must have proven NPD successes. Product experience within dry powder mixing / cereal / supplements or similar, with an understanding of manufacturing methods and supply partners is essential for this role. As well as being a self- starter who can work autonomously, you will need to have superb organisational & prioritisation skills. You’ll be a natural communicator with the ability to effectively manage, influence and engage key stakeholders.
