ACR Recruitment & Training LTD are looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Nursery Practitioner and Nursery Practitioner with a minimum Level 2 qualification and knowledge of the EYFS to join our successful team, working in Childcare settings throughout Witney, Oxfordshire.

Nursery Nurse Qualification:


  • Level 2 or 3 Early years/ Nursery Qualifications and Level 2 or 3 TA

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead and support a team of nursery practitioners, ensuring high-quality care and education.
  • Plan, implement, and oversee age-appropriate learning activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Work closely with parents and carers, providing feedback and updates on their child’s development.
  • Ensure all nursery policies, procedures, and safeguarding measures are adhered to.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety within the nursery.
  • Assist in organising events, outings, and parent engagement activities.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, ensuring engaging and diverse learning experiences.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will


  • Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children in accordance with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan and implement engaging learning and play activities to support child development.
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s learning and progress.
  • Support children with personal care routines, including feeding, nappy changes, and toilet training (where applicable).
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery environment, including cleaning toys and equipment.
  • Assist with meal and snack times, ensuring dietary requirements and allergies are followed.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting concerns when necessary.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through play and interaction.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in childcare or early childhood education
  • Strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to interact with and manage children in a nursery setting




Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent



Pay: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
