ACR Recruitment & Training LTD are looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Nursery Practitioner and Nursery Practitioner with a minimum Level 2 qualification and knowledge of the EYFS to join our successful team, working in Childcare settings throughout Witney, Oxfordshire.
Nursery Nurse Qualification:
- Level 2 or 3 Early years/ Nursery Qualifications and Level 2 or 3 TA
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of nursery practitioners, ensuring high-quality care and education.
- Plan, implement, and oversee age-appropriate learning activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Monitor and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and professional development.
- Work closely with parents and carers, providing feedback and updates on their child’s development.
- Ensure all nursery policies, procedures, and safeguarding measures are adhered to.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety within the nursery.
- Assist in organising events, outings, and parent engagement activities.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, ensuring engaging and diverse learning experiences.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will
- Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children in accordance with the EYFS framework.
- Plan and implement engaging learning and play activities to support child development.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s learning and progress.
- Support children with personal care routines, including feeding, nappy changes, and toilet training (where applicable).
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery environment, including cleaning toys and equipment.
- Assist with meal and snack times, ensuring dietary requirements and allergies are followed.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting concerns when necessary.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through play and interaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education
- Strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to interact with and manage children in a nursery setting
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
