Senior Operations Manager
MCR Safety Europe is a well-established manufacturer and supplier of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Due to our continued growth in the UK and Europe, we have immediate need for an Operations Manager that can demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to be part of a developing team that is rapidly expanding.
This new role forms part of our Senior Leadership Team reporting directly to the Managing Director with responsibility for Warehouse/Logistics, Customer Services and IT.
The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to lead and deliver change across multiple business functions, utilising data to manage an informed position. The objective is to drive MCR forward into a new level of engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
Organisational skills are essential in order to manage the change process. The role will head up a small team as part of a much larger scope of influence across the entire business.
Areas of Responsibility:

Management of UK warehouse, logistics function, small manufacturing facility and overseas facility in the Netherlands
*
Ensure correct Health & Safety audits and practices applied for personnel, equipment, buildings and grounds
*
Management of staff including all staff training and development needs
*
Monitor and ensure timely delivery of defined KPI’s
*
Management of inventory and supply chain
*
Management of external audits
*
Development of required reporting data for analysis across all functions
*
Enhance communication and cross-departmental strategies
*
Define new methods to improve customer engagement / customer journey
*
Research and engage with automated process allowing for future AI applications
- Management of a small Internal IT team to deliver agreed projects and support delivery of the Bunzl IT framework.
- Delivery of IT projects
- Maintenance of our ISO and BSI Kitemark licence including preparations for audit
Key Delivery Requirements:
Reporting Processes: Present weekly performance reports alongside monthly summary on KPIs and key aspects of project delivery.
Develop and Implement Processes: Create and implement efficient and effective operational process and procedure to enhance productivity and profitability. All team members to remain compliant to our practices and expectations.
Monitor Performance: Regularly assess operations performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
Team Management: Recruit, train, and lead.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to determine needs and allow for aligned delivery on expectations.
Succession planning is designed, prepared for, and implemented.
Undertake any other requirements that would be deemed consistent with the position.
Change delivery will be an essential component.
