Senior Operative

Environmental Enhancement are looking to recruit a Senior Depot Operative to work in our busy yard. Working 37 hours per week with flexible start times between 8am and 9am, finishing between 4pm and 5pm. As part of your job you will be expected to:
To oversee and coordinate safe operations in the depot and yard
To load, unload and process recyclate and refuse, and safely operate associated machinery
To assist with refuse, recycling and cleansing service delivery when required.
To ensure cleanliness, legal compliance and safe operation of depot and yard.
On a daily basis, take the lead for safe operation of the depot and yard
To regularly deputise in the absence of the supervisor
You should have
Experience of and ability to manage a small team
Experience of operating a wide range of machinery including telescopic handler, forklift truck, light commercial vehicles, bailers, presses and conveyer lines.
Experience undertaking safety checks for plant and equipment.
Excellent communication and people management skills.
Understanding of the importance of adhering to safe systems of work and safety policies.
