Our client is seeking both a Senior Planner and a Town Planner to join their highly skilled team. With a history dating back to 1989, the company has grown organically, spread across two offices near Manchester. This employee-owned trust (EOT) firm is renowned for working on large-scale projects, particularly in renewable energy, infrastructure, commercial, and residential sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and delivering planning projects from inception through to completion
- Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and large organisations in national infrastructure
- Providing expert advice on town planning and development
- Collaborating with internal teams across planning, transport, and landscape disciplines
- Conducting site assessments and preparing comprehensive reports
- Ensuring all projects comply with planning regulations and RTPI standards
- Mentoring junior staff and fostering a collaborative working environment
Job Requirements:
- Experience dealing with large scale projects in public or private sectors
- Strong understanding of town planning principles and regulations
- Experience or willingness to work towards RTPI accreditation
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work on a hybrid basis, typically 3 days in office and 2 days from home
- Proactive and adaptable approach to project management
