Turner Lovell are recruiting for afast-growingg international EPC contractor who have a strong pipeline of HVDC, HV-A,C and offshore wind projects across the UK and Europe.
We are looking for a Senior Project Planning professional with a strong background in HV Transmission & Distribution, to play an active role in project management support of multi-disciplined, multi-sector project delivery work by facilitating the planning, scheduling, and controlling processes. Providing advice, support, and clear communication of fact-based answers to key management questions which will aid in intelligent and effective decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have construction site experience, have advanced knowledge of Primavera 6 and be confident to support contract variation and claims.The successful candidate will be the Senior Planning Engineer with the following expertise:experience in planning major turnkey infrastructure projectsPrimavera P6 userof risk management processes and toolsmanaging small teams within a large projectof cost control function and interface with schedule on large turnkey projectslevel of relevant industry knowledge within the Renewable Energy / Power Generation sectorin applying forensic analysis on large turnkey projectsThis role would see you working on the following:the project baseline gaining approval of client and internal stakeholdersproject schedule and resource forecasts throughout the project lifecyclesschedule and trends and communicate forecasted schedule risk to the project team, drive risk mitigation proposalsa register of potential schedule and cost risks in collaboration with the Risk Managerand controls schedule movements, comparing with current scope and progress as well as with previous forecast. Also comparing with productivity factors and validating accuracy of future task durationsthat forecast task durations and logic are understood and committed by the task ownersand communicating internal and external project reporting of project statuscollaboration with 3rd parties on project schedule interfaces including maintenance of an interface registerall time schedule data in a transparent way, attending project and management reviews to present schedule statustime-related calculations to ensure change order schedule/cost estimates are accuratewith the Cost Controller to ensure reconciliation between P6 schedule and approved cost phasingthe team of Project Planning Engineers on large and complex projectsfull responsibility for the planning output for the assigned project(s) as part of the project controls functioncollaboration with functional task and resource owners to find strategies to reduce durations and manhoursefficiency and effectiveness of the project controls teamThis is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of renewable energy, HVDC, and HV infrastructure projects, and have clear career growth potential and job security working on high projects.If this sounds like it could be your next challenge, working on a large-scale energy transmission project and you are available ASAP, please apply or contact or Yana Arif (#####) / 07939 391748 for further information.
