Senior Platform EngineerSalary: £250-300k PackageLocation: London (Hybrid working – 3 days in office per week)I’m currently working with a Tech-Driven Investment Management firm undergoing a major technology transformation who are looking for a Platform Engineer with a breadth of experience across cloud, software and security engineering.Reporting into the Head of Engineering, this is a pivotal role in building out a brand new Cloud Platform for the entire organization, and an infrastructure capable of servicing and housing all departments ranging from Quants to Cyber to Risk.This is genuinely an incredible opportunity to join a small, close-knit team of incredibly skilled Engineers and build a platform and infrastructure which will shape how an entire organization can operate; for one of the most innovative Investment Management firms worldwide.ResponsibilitiesDesign and build the platform and infrastructure on which the organization can operate at speed and scale.Advise and provide vision on the overall architecture of the platform and its capabilities.Work closely with wider departments to understand their requirements and how this platform can enable them.Act as a mentor and escalation point to the more junior members of the team.RequirementsA software engineering background with the ability to build and develop robust and secure cloud infrastructures.Thorough knowledge of AWS and building platforms subject to financial regulatory requirements.In-depth cyber security experience and building platforms/infrastructure with security built in at code level.Expert level knowledge of Terraform, Python and open-source databases (Postgres & Clickhouse a bonus)Experience working in fast-paced, top tier financial institutions.If you’re an experienced Platform Engineer looking to join an Investment Management firm undergoing one of the most exciting Transformation journeys where you’ll be afforded the trust and freedom to build and develop one of the most innovative cloud Platforms; then click apply or get in touch directly – #####
