Our client is a global real estate investor. As part of the team’s expansion, they require a Senior Portfolio Analyst or Associate in London to join the Groups Portfolio Management function which is part of the real estate credit division. The Portfolio Analyst will be integral in supporting the business in its capital raising efforts and investor reporting responsibilities through portfolio modelling, reporting and analytics.
Main responsibilities:
Manage and regularly update models for existing portfolios and sub-portfolios of primarily real estate construction loans
Build new models for potential multi-currency portfolio combinations or funds
Overlay investor level and fund level management fee structures across portfolios
Monitor capital availability for pipeline deals and allocations
Help manage and coordinate the portfolio review and reporting process
Building and improving existing and future quarterly reporting to investors on loans and portfolios
Collect and aggregate portfolio data, tracking collateral and AUM across different structures
Help with software implementation and ongoing software improvement and increased use-case
Support the maintenance of data accuracy, integrity and quality management across the global portfolio at the property, loan and investor level
Support Capital raising including prepare track record information for marketing materials
Field and respond to ad-hoc investor and marketing requests as part of the capital raising processes
Help integrate ESG reporting tools into the underwriting process, working closely with the investment and loan asset management team
Background and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with a major in real estate, economics, or finance preferred.
2-4 years of experience in portfolio analysis and/or credit analysis within the real estate sector
Proven experience in the UK / Pan European Real Estate market
Real estate and construction lending experience would be an advantage
Proven data analytics and data management experience
Experience working with loan servicing software
Advanced financial modelling skills in Excel
Strong proficiency across Microsoft platform (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Proficiency in data visualization tools preferred (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
Software implementation and management experience
Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, organize and interpret complex data and derive meaningful insights
Ability to work effectively in a collegial, fast moving, dynamic environment
Strong work ethic with superior writing, presentation, and communication skills
