Senior/Principal Linux C++ Developer Hybrid role - one to two days a week required in the office. The Role As a crucial member of our clients software team based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, you will play a vital role in the development of our low latency cutting-edge, network driven products. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, test, and maintain our clients leading product, while providing technical leadership in the design and product specification process. To ensure our clients products meet the highest standards, you'll also be responsible for developing technical documentation in line with industry best practices. Collaboration is a key aspect of this role, and you'll interface with other teams within the business to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products. To maintain the highest standards, you'll also adhere to development processes including code reviews, design reviews, and best practice coding guidelines. Staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends, particularly in the field of security systems, is essential. You'll maintain and grow your knowledge of new technologies, ensuring that our clients products stay ahead of the curve. Mentoring and supporting other team members will also be an essential part of your role, as you work together to deliver our world-class product. With your technical expertise and leadership, you'll help drive the success of our clients products and contribute to the growth of our clients dynamic team. Your Technical Skills: Your skills are a match for this role if you have : BSc Hons Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or a combination of education (HND, HNC) and suitable work-related experience. A track record of commercial software design and development, you'll bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. You should also have experience or knowledge of all software development phases from product feature definition through code maintenance. 7-8+ yearsin software development in C/C++ in a Unix/Linux/Embedded Linux Environment. Ideallyexperience in mentoring and coaching juniors and in contributing to architecture and design decisions bonus points for Strong knowledge of OS/Networking concepts About You As a key player on our clients software team based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, you will lead the charge in designing and developing our clients portfolio of cutting-edge products.
