Senior/Principal Fire Engineer

An industry leading Fire Engineering Consultancy urgently seek an ambitious Senior / Principal Fire Engineer to join a large team of excellent Fire Engineers.Working on exciting projects in a variety of sectors with input across the full project life cycle, you’ll provide strategic fire safety advice across the UK for the whole construction industry following a clearly defined career path.Supported by a senior Fire Engineer your responsibilities will include: Attend design team meetings internally/externallySite visits – Riba stages 4/5Review and mark up design proposalsLiaising with design team members including Architects and clientsCritical thinking in supporting the design team to overcome the Fire Safety challengesProduce technical reports to support the design through approval processUndertaking detailed Fire Engineering analysis including using computer modelling tools i.e., CFD, Evacuation and Structural Analysis modellingMeeting and discussions with the Approving AuthoritiesQualifications/expectations:A degree in Fire Engineering or related subjectStudent member of the Institute of Fire Engineers (Advantageous)Ambitious and a great attitude/application for learningDiligent and creativeAble to manage your time effectivelyExcellent communication skills both written and verbalFriendly and approachableThis role will attract a competitive package, hybrid working, cycle 2 work, summer and Christmas events, private healthcare, IFE membership, contributory pension scheme, bonus scheme, structured career progression.
