As the company continues to scale, they are looking for Senior / Principal Software Engineers to work on their high-performance software systems.The company tends to employ highly experienced polyglot programmers with knowledge of various programming languages and strong systems design/architecture. Their codebase is varied so the successful candidate is likely to be technology agnostic. They have a flat management structure and benefit from a highly collaborative working environment.Responsibilities:Playing a key role in systems design, architecture, and integrationRoadmap definition and developmentCreation and development of coding standardsWork in conjunction with senior management, providing engineering expertise to help achieve business goalsKey experience:Extensive commercial experience in software engineering, design, and architectureA passion for technology and using the most suitable tech to solve complex issuesMicroservices / highly scalable software systemsExtensive programming experience with one or more programming languages including, but not limited to C, Go, Perl, Ruby, C++, Python, RustExperience in the following areas would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite:Cloud deployment - Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform etcReact, Flutter or similar front end technologiesSoftware security standardsPostgreSQLThe company operates a hybrid working model - 2 days a week in their brand-new office in Reading with amazing facilities.
