Senior Private Debt Fund Controller (Director) London, UK Flexible

Director- Eximius Finance (Accounting and Finance recruitment) Private Debt fund (8BnAUM) seeks senior fund controller to run a new fund within it's portfolio that has been very successful. The fund has a mixture of Public and Private debt products and is domiciled in LUX and we need a senior individual to manage the complexity of the fund from a liquidity perspective as well as all the usual fund control requirements. Are you an experienced Fund controller? With extensive closed ended fund experience. Ideally within debt/direct lending although other asset classes such as Private Equity/Real Estate/VCT experience will also be considered. The fund requires knowledge of LUX GAAP or familiarity with LUX based funds. The team are primarily based in London but the fund also has operations in Dublin, LUX, Paris and Milan. This is a senior role working directly for the head of fund accounting supporting a key growth engine of the organisation. They operate a hybrid environment and are in the office 3/4 days a week. Some of tasks listed below Work with the Head of Fund Accounting on all day-to-day matters relating to multiple funds and separately managed accounts (SMAs): Liaise with service providers to manage Fund NAV and Fund accounting process, including estimated Fund NAVs. Prepare computations and calculations supporting the Funds (such as equalisation, management fees, drawdowns, IRRs, performance measurement, currency hedge exposure, tax and Intragroup financing). Prepare Fund dividend and distribution recommendations and coordinate payments. Assist with aspects of launching funds/fund structures/fund share classes. Assist with on boarding of investors into the Funds. Assist in the execution of private loan deal closings/settlements Experience Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) Confident dealing with a variety of senior stakeholders including presentations, strategic and regulatory discussions Circa 10 years of work experience in a similar fund accounting role Experience of primary and secondary Debt market or private equity preferred Knowledge of asset management, RIAs, and fixed income financial products including Public Debt funds (UCITS and 40 Act) Familiarity with preparing and reviewing of capital call and distribution calculations, management fee calculations, waterfall calculations and preparation of financial statements Knowledge of partnership accounting Knowledge of IFRS and other GAAP (Lux GAAP & US GAAP) Strong proficiency in databases, including Excel Eximius Group helps business in the financial services, legal, technology, business support and energy sectors attract the best talent.Eximius Finan...
