This role requires effective time management, strong problem-solving skills, and clear communication to meet project goals and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Process Engineer in project execution.
- Represent the discipline in HAZIDs, HAZOPs, design reviews, and other relevant meetings.
- Take responsibility as the unit lead engineer for process units when applicable.
- Check and approve process calculations following company procedures.
- Supervise technical activities of team members to meet required standards.
- Conduct detailed calculations to develop designs, ensuring accuracy.
- Ensure design methods, standards, and data meet company requirements.
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, equipment specifications, process descriptions, and P&IDs for review and approval.
- Coordinate and manage discipline and multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Design oil and gas process systems and equipment as needed.
- Support the development of internal tools and maintain high safety standards.
Knowledge and Experience
- Proficient in P&ID development and preparation of process instrument datasheets.
- Experience with flare and relief load calculations, equipment, and PSV sizing.
- Ability to check and verify process deliverables.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Experience in brownfield process verification and debottlenecking studies is desirable.
- Proven ability to lead a small team is advantageous.
- Previous experience on similar debottlenecking projects is a plus.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
