Senior Product Engineer (Electronics)ManchesterSalary: £55,000 - £60,000 Job type: Permanent or Contract Join our client’s dynamic Diagnostics Engineering Group as a Senior Product Engineer. You'll lead the charge in developing and releasing the cutting-edge system, while also contributing to electronics and mechanical design.Key Responsibilities:Spearhead Product design from concept to manufacturing.Oversee product compliance approvals and hardware verification.Conduct root-cause analysis for technical issues.Collaborate with Software Engineers on current and future projects.Provide technical support across business divisions and with key partners.Engage in R&D for hardware and consumables.Maintain and improve product lifecycle hardware.Support manufacturing and technical service functions.Prepare hardware for external studies and create technical documentation.Essential Qualifications:5+ years in end-to-end product design.Expertise in IVD/medical product compliance for EU and USA.Strong skills in creating robust, manufacturable product designs.Ability to manage diverse activities simultaneously.Self-directed project management experience.Experience in regulated product development and compliance standards (61010-1, 61010-2-101, EMC, ISO13485, IVDR).Desirable Skills:Electronic design for FCC, EMC, CE, UKCA, and CB Scheme compliance.Experience with microprocessor-controlled circuits and embedded software.Knowledge of optoelectronics and PID temperature control.Familiarity with reliability testing techniques.Experience in small companies.Proficiency in Altium or similar schematic capture packages.Be a part of innovation and impact lives with your expertise.
