Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of our underwriting platform. Your primary goals will be to scale our underwriting capabilities and integrate machine learning and AI to support underwriter decision-making. You will work primarily with our risk underwriting and insurance teams to ensure our platform is innovative, efficient, and meets the needs of our clients and partners. Although your role will be an individual contributor, we are growing fast, so your role will naturally expand to growing and leading a team.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a product strategy focused on scaling our underwriting capabilities. Drive the integration of machine learning and AI to enhance the underwriting process. Lead the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals. Collaborate with engineering, design, and underwriting teams to create user-centric solutions. Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements and new features. Prioritize the product backlog to meet business objectives and technical feasibility. Communicate product vision and progress to stakeholders, including executives and partners. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in product management and underwriting. You will report to the VP Product Management but will also have key stakeholder responsibility with the CTO and Chief Underwriting officer.
Our ideal candidate will have: 1. Proven experience as a Product Manager in building products from zero to one. 2. And, experience in building fintech risk platforms, especially in enterprise credit and trade financing industries. 3. Or, experience in building underwriting platforms in trade credit insurance.
We prefer candidates who have been part of companies that experienced fast early-stage growth and progressed through various funding stages.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in product management. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience with agile methodologies and tools. - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Passion for innovation and technology trends.
