The role
- You will play a vital role in the design and technical consultation of civil infrastructure, including below-ground drainage, sustainable drainage systems, external works, highway works (particularly S278 accesses for development), and earthworks.
- You will provide essential technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their growth and expertise.
- You will be required to prepare fee proposals, negotiate project budgets, and manage the delivery of projects on budget and in a timely manner.
- You will collaborate on various building and civil engineering projects and will support the company venturing into new markets
- You will contribute to planning stages and the creation of flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, foul water management plans, and utility statements.
- You will work directly with the associate director to oversee project delivery and management, ensuring successful outcomes.
What you need to succeed
- Hold recognised relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering (MEng/BEng).
- Bring substantial industry experience in Civil Engineering, with a focus on designing drainage, SuDs, external works, roads and earthworks.
- Be proficient in software design tools such as AutoCAD and Civil3D, alongside experience using hydraulic modelling packages like Infodrainage or Microdrainage.
- Have achieved, or working towards, chartered/incorporated civil engineer status.
- Have a minimum of 4 years of UK civil engineering consultancy experience, successfully delivering building, infrastructure or land development projects from concept design to site phase for clients.
