Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Senior Project Controller (Risk & Cost) to join their existing team in Bristol (hybrid working, typically 4 days from home) on a 24 week contract.

The Role

As a Senior Project Controller (Risk & Cost), you will be supporting the Weapon Launch & Handling Systems. Your responsibilities will include the following but not limited to:

  • Assisting all aspects of Project Cost Control
  • Prepare and deliver all necessary internal and external project control reports and documentation
  • Maintain the integrated master schedule and advised on critical paths and advise on schedule issues
  • Provide key input into the production and management of Control Account Plans, including establishing basis of estimates and cost related assumptions and dependencies
  • Collate, organise, and present the necessary data to enable Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting
  • Provide the necessary input to enable Cost Risk Analysis (CRA)
  • Coordinate and develop project/programme spend projections, cost reconciliations and variance analysis

You

To succeed within the role of a Senior Project Controller (Risk & Cost), you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:

  • Considerable experience in the advanced application of Project Management techniques in a relevant technical project environment across the full project lifecycle
  • Previous experience on complex defence projects/programmes
  • Ability to champion high performance and inspire others
  • Experience in the application of SRA/CRA and EVM
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of contract and commercial management
  • Experience managing change processes and formally driving and identifying the need for change through application of integrated project controls
  • Experience working with senior level managers both internally and externally.
  • APM PMQ, Chartered status or equivalent (advantageous)
  • PPC Practitioner

Please note that due to security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining DV security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
