Senior Project Cost Controller · Location: Hybrid, with 2-3 days in Midlands· £75,000 - £85,000 Salary Packages · Start date: ASAP· Projects: Renewable energy, infrastructure. Turner Lovell are recruiting for a fast growing international EPC contractor who have a strong pipeline of renewable energy, electricity and offshore wind projects across the UK and Europe.We are currently shortlisting for a Senior Project Cost Controller to join a €1bn+ engineering and construction project in the UK. This is a rare opportunity to control costs on a high value project at the heart of the UK’s energy transition.
In this role, you will: · Maintain sharp focus on cost baselines and budgets - ensure tight alignment· Support forecast of cost estimation for material, labour, manufactured costs, suppliers’ invoices, timesheets etc· Verify and validate actual costs across all dimensions - keep real-time pulse on expenditures· Analyse movements and trends, spot risks - drive decisive actions to mitigate· Communicate financial status clearly to stakeholders across the project· Work hand-in-hand with Finance to integrate project data into project costs.· Link costs to schedule - provide inputs to guide revenue projections· Support forecasting with accuracy leveraging your analytical strengths· Present transparent reports at all reviews - highlight deviations and root causes· Collaborate closely with planning to align costs and schedule The Person:· Degree qualified in finance or project finance accounting· 5+ years cost controlling of major engineering / construction turnkey projects· Demonstrable experience of Project finance leading on large & complex infrastructure projects· Deeply knowledgeable in ERP systems like SAP· A strong leader, collaborator and communicator able to manage small teams· Familiar with project planning and scheduling tools like Primavera P6 If you have the business and financial acumen to work on in a fast paced project environment and have the ambition to work in the renewable energy sector, this is an ideal role for you.
