Clean Energy Talent has been exclusively appointed to find a Senior Project Manager for their UK operations.Role Summary: The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale solar and storage projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within the defined scope, and on budget. This role requires effective collaboration with various teams, risk assessment, and client relationship management.Key Responsibilities:Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery within the agreed scope and budget.Conduct site surveys to identify local conditions affecting design and gather local supply cost data for budgeting purposes.Collaborate with design and engineering teams to review client-provided documents and information throughout the design process.Communicate with the development team to define project requirements, conducting cost and risk analysis for projects under development.Work with the engineering department during the preliminary design phase to identify technical solutions and optimizations.Oversee the handover of completed projects to the internal Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team.Manage requests for quotations (RFQs) with subcontractors.Partner with the project director to develop and closely monitor a detailed project budget.Create a comprehensive programme of works (PoW) to monitor project progress.Prepare contracts for suppliers and subcontractors.Supervise site engineers and subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with the PoW and project scope.Ensure proper allocation and availability of resources.Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for internal teams and clients.Oversee project implementation activities, ensuring compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards.Conduct risk assessments and proactively address any issues encountered on site, escalating to the project director when necessary.Maintain comprehensive project documentation.Report any deviations from the PoW, budget, or scope to the project director.Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering; a Master’s degree is advantageous.Certification in project management (e.g., MBA, PMP, PRINCE II) is a plus.Proficiency in MS Project.Proven experience in the construction of solar parks, with at least 6 years of experience in medium to large-scale projects.This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a leading company and serves as a springboard for your career in the renewable energy sector.
