Senior Project Manager

Our client are a Tier 2 main contractor , undertaking Design & Build projects up to £30m in value.  With offices  in the South and the Midlands undertaking projects in both regions.  They are currently looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager to join the team.  Initial project will one of several projects they have due to start located in Western Home Counties, project values circa £10 - £15M.   A specialist main contractor in new build and refurbishment of commercial and industrial buildings.
 
The successful candidate MUST have experience delivering new build Design & Build commercial / industrial / retail / education or healthcare projects.
 
The role of a Senior Project Manager will involve working with the Quantity Surveyor on procurement interrogating drawings and working closely with the Design Manager, chairing design team meetings, programming using ASTA Power Projects, managing the team which will include a Site Engineer, Site Manager/s, QS and Design Manager.  Reporting into a visiting Construction Director.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Experience managing projects from through to client handover
• Demonstrable experience using Asta Project or equivalent program software
• Strong relationship management skills
• The ability to use industry and project knowledge to improve profitability where possible
• Experience working on steel frame new build projects.
• Experience with groundworks
• A strong work ethic
• Must be able to drive
