Senior PR Manager role on a 12 month fixed term contract basis for a leading global law firm. The Public Relations team is responsible for managing the firm’s relationships with media and proactively looking for issues around which the firm can build its reputation. Aligned to the firm’s dominant Corporate and Finance practices, as well as supporting some prevalent sector groups, this role is strategically important in supporting the growth of these key practice and sector groups. Responsibilities include:
Build relationships with national and trade press, and help spokespeople build and maintain relationships and prepare them for interviews.
Identify potential news, topics and comment opportunities. Responsibility for driving the quantity and quality of media coverage for the London teams.
Attend Marketing & Business Development forums and meetings to ensure an integrated approach to BD and PR.
Draft and distribute press releases, commission articles (and write/edit articles when required).

The ideal candidate will have significant legal PR and comms experience and be adept at working with and influencing partners. This could be in-house or working in a communications agency, although some legal in-house experience is preferred. You must also have good relationships with national and sector trade press.
