We are seeking a Senior Quality and Compliance Officer to join our dynamic Technical and Compliance team at our head office. This pivotal role supports the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring our systems and processes meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Maintain and monitor our quality and compliance systems, impacting plant performance and ensuring continuous compliance with BRC and ISO standards.
  • Conduct internal audits, maintain records, and ensure supplier standards are up to par to achieve customer service excellence.
  • Address and reduce quality complaints efficiently, ensuring nonconformances identified in audits are managed and resolved effectively.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives using rigorous methods to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Prepare and present monthly quality and complaints analysis reports for senior management meetings.
  • Act as the HARA team leader and main contact for the pest control contractor, managing visits and addressing issues promptly.
  • Host quality meetings, aligning team objectives with plant-level implementation and improvement goals.
  • Foster a safe working environment and promote continuous learning and teamwork within the department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum HACCP Level 3 certification; Level 4 preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with BRC standards and their implementation.
  • Experience in lean continuous improvement processes.
  • Clear understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in packaging or printing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong influencing abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel and Word.
  • Proven ability to manage a busy and varied workload, with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic and committed, with a willingness to learn and grow within the organisation.
