R26569 Senior Quality Manager - Infrastructure Programme
Join an exciting and diverse Capital Projects portfolio of multi-Billion GBP investment, over the next 15+ years for the UK Defence sector. Supported by the wider Infrastructure Projects Delivery Quality team, you will be the key Quality Lead to ensure conventional projects are delivered to the Quality requirements by working with multiple project teams and with the supply chain.
Location - Reading / Basingstoke / Hybrid role - flexible working from home available
Salary: Starting at £58,220 Negotiable (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Key accountabilities of this position include:
- Lead a team of Quality Managers and Quality Engineers within your project(s)
- Setting the Quality strategy and providing functional support
- Embedding a positive Quality culture within the project(s) under your accountability
- Act as the Intelligent Client representative for AWE
- Ensuring risks are identified early, recorded accurately and mitigation activities supported
- Work with the projects to ensure the internal 'voice of the customer' and business requirements are managed, communicated, and fully understood by all Quality resource
- Support to tender, supplier evaluation, mobilisation, and integration post contract award
- Lead Quality at key stakeholder meetings including design and technical reviews
- Maintenance and review of Quality Plans and support to wider project artefact reviews
- Conducting/leading supplier capability audits
- Identify and instigate workshops to promote performance improvement
- Presenting Quality data to key stakeholders and for reporting metrics and KPIs
- Senior Oversight of supplier surveillance & Quality Control, e.g., ITPs and FAT activities
- Senior Oversight and analysis of NCR trends
- Facilitating lessons learnt workshops
- Application of proportionate Quality oversight aligned to the overall Quality Grading of the projects structures, systems and components
- Act as the senior SQEP individual for Quality within the Projects space
- Representing the organisation at external events, such as industry forums, recruitment fairs etc.

To be successful in this role you should have the following skills/experience:
- Experience in construction, capital project delivery or engineering is highly desirable
- Relevant min. BEng/BSc or equivalent qualification and experience (Min. 10 Years)
- Chartered Membership of a recognised related professional body, or working towards e.g., CQP MCQI
- ISO9001 Lead Auditor trained and relevant audit experience (Internal and External)
- Good knowledge and application of national and international quality standards, e.g., ISO9001, AQAP 2110
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for process and cost efficiencies/improvements
- Technical knowledge for high integrity structures, systems and components
- A proven track record of influencing and engaging with key stakeholders
The following skills and experience are desirable:
- Use of lean and six sigma techniques and/or other related problem solving and improvement tools
- Working on a nuclear licenced site / within the nuclear industry or similar highly regulated industry
- Experience of a graded approach to quality
- Working within an NEC framework for project delivery
