This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in an employee-focused organisation that is experiencing positive growth due to continued demand in services from various infrastructure clients.If you are a Quantity Surveyor looking to make the next step in your career or a Senior Quantity Surveyor eager to work on cutting-edge projects for a company that values its staff, please get in touch.Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will lead the robust commercial management of various projects, working closely with customers and stakeholders to support successful project delivery compliant with contractual terms and achieve business plan commitments.Responsibilities:Oversee projects' financial performance, ensuring profit targets, efficiency savings, and cash positions are maximized.Adhere to contractual timescales and administer change control appropriately.Identify and manage risks and opportunities effectively.Deliver a compliant procurement process and selection in line with procedures.Deal with commercial queries, advise on legal matters, including risks and dispute resolution.Conduct internal and external audits as and when required.Manage subcontracts effectively, including preparation and negotiation of claims, payments of subcontractors in accordance with contractual timescales, and dispute resolution.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial logs, cost plans, and project forecasts.Undertake monthly reporting, including Monthly Progress Reports (MPR), Cost Value Reconciliation (CRV), and commentaries, in line with requirements.Prepare for and attend monthly cost review meetings with customers, identifying variations and remedial actions.Manage a small Quantity Surveying team, typically 1 or 2 people, ensuring effective 1:1s, PDPs, and development plans are in place for any direct reports. Requirements:Ideally degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying.Extensive recurring success in a Quantity Surveying role, working on multiple and large projects (circa 10 million).Ability to work independently without supervision.Thorough knowledge of monitoring cost performance of projects and contract administration.Evidence of building effective relationships with teams.Demonstrable experience of coaching, mentoring, and managing people.Track record in successfully managing and delivering against deadlines.Experience in a civil engineering environment. Salary and Package:60,000 - 85,000 basic salary (dependent on experience).Company car or car allowance.Pension.Healthcare.Hybrid working - 2 days a week in the office.Additional attractive benefits.
