Flux Consulting have partnered with�a leading consultancy firm based in Cambridge, UK, specializing in providing high-quality quantity surveying services across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.�We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the�team.



You will play a pivotal role in managing cost-related aspects of the�construction projects, ensuring value for money while meeting the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within a consultancy or QS practice, with a proven track record in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.�



Key Responsibilities:




  • Manage all phases of the cost management process, from initial feasibility studies and budget estimates to final accounts.

  • Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and bills of quantities.

  • Conduct risk and value management and cost control during the design and construction phases.

  • Provide procurement advice and prepare tender documentation.

  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with project specifications and legal requirements.

  • Perform regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to budget and quality standards.

  • Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Prepare and present detailed reports to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.

  • Assist in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and contributing to the growth of the consultancy.



Qualifications and Experience:




  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a consultancy or QS practice, with a strong portfolio of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

  • Proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools for cost management and reporting.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
