Location: Mayfair, LondonProject: £45m mixed use super prime scheme including art gallery, members club and prime apartmentsOur client is seeking an experienced and dynamic senior quantity surveyor to join their team for a prestigious £45 million art gallery and super prime apartment scheme located in Mayfair, London. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for the commercial management and delivery of this high-profile development, ensuring it meets all financial and contractual requirements.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management:- Oversee the financial performance of the project, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.- Prepare detailed cost reports and financial statements for senior management.- Manage project cash flow and ensure timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers.Contract Management:- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and manage any disputes or claims.- Draft, review, and approve all contractual documentation.Procurement:- Lead the procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, and negotiation of contracts.- Ensure the selection of high-quality subcontractors and suppliers in line with project requirements.Risk Management:- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.Team Leadership:- Lead and mentor a team of quantity surveyors and other commercial staff.- Foster a collaborative and productive working environment.Stakeholder Management:- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project progress and financial status.Qualifications and Experience:Educational Background:- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.- Professional membership with RICS or a similar recognized institution.Experience:- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial management within the construction industry.- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, high-value projects, preferably in the residential or cultural sector.- Experience working with tier 1 or 2 main contractors is highly desirable.Skills:- Strong financial acumen and detailed knowledge of commercial and contract management.- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.- Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Office, project management software, and financial management tools.Benefits:- Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.- Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and pension scheme.- Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.- Collaborative and inclusive work environment.
