About the Client:

Our client is a prestigious residential refurbishment specialist with a portfolio spanning four decades, known for transforming some of Central London's most exclusive homes as well as commercial and listed buildings. They have built a solid reputation for meticulous attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a collaborative approach to working with clients, architects, and designers. Projects range from prime residences to listed buildings, with a focus on high-spec finishes and bespoke designs.

The Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of refurbishment projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of the projects, ensuring cost control, risk management, and value engineering at all stages. You'll work closely with clients, contractors, and design teams, offering expert advice and guidance on financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial and contractual aspects of residential refurbishment projects, from initial estimates to final accounts.
  • Prepare and manage detailed cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments, ensuring cost efficiency and value engineering.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, and project managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, manage variations, and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage procurement processes, and oversee subcontractor performance.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, providing clear communication and financial transparency.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within high-end residential refurbishment projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Central London's construction market is a strong advantage.
  • RICS or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.
