We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a highly reputable tier 1 main contractor in Southampton. The contractor has a reputation in the industry for delivering excellence, and strives to uphold the inclusive and supportive culture they have created within the team. They undertake projects across a range of sectors including commercial, education, defence and leisure with projects typically valuing up to �45mil. Projects are procured via both single and two-stage tenders and are administered via a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a project valuing between �10mil - �20mil in Hampshire, from pre-construction through to completion. You will be working closely with the Surveyors in the team and will be involved in supporting junior members of the commercial team.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Active involvement in the project from estimator handover
• Take full ownership of all procurement
• Manage sub-contract packages dealing with any variations through to final account
• Be involved in the mentoring / support of junior commercial staff

Key Requirements as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Have a proven track record of successfully managing projects with a value of up to �20mil
• Have strong working knowledge of JCT / NEC forms of contract
• Exposure to both live projects and pre-construction activities
• Live and be happy to commute within Hampshire
• Full right to work in the UK
