Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, working on a variety of rail infrastructure projects over a 10-year period. Project values range from �50k to �50 million and include bridges, tunnels, embankment strengthening, as well as some mechanical and electrical (M&E) work. This role offers flexible working locations, with offices in Blackfriars, Sussex, Wessex, Kent, Tunbridge, Basingstoke, and East Croydon.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual elements of multiple rail infrastructure projects. You will work on projects ranging from small to large-scale, ensuring effective cost management and commercial oversight throughout the project lifecycle. This role will involve leading a commercial team and ensuring the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Oversee the financial and contractual management of various rail projects.
• Lead a commercial team, ensuring accurate cost forecasting, reporting, and risk management.
• Manage projects involving bridges, tunnels, embankment strengthening, and M&E work.
• Administer NEC contracts and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
• Prepare valuations, handle variations, and manage final accounts.
• Collaborate closely with project teams and key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
• Extensive experience working on major infrastructure projects, particularly in the rail sector.
• Proven track record in leading a commercial team on complex projects.
• Deep understanding of NEC contracts and their application.
• Flexibility to work from multiple office locations, including Blackfriars, Sussex, Wessex, Kent, Tunbridge, Basingstoke, and East Croydon.
