Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Salary: �55,000 - �60,000

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a deep understanding of traditional quantity surveying practices. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects across multiple sectors, contributing to the successful delivery and financial management of these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates at various stages of project development.
  • Produce accurate and comprehensive bills of quantities.
  • Manage and monitor project costs to ensure budgets are maintained.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure effective cost management.
  • Undertake risk analysis and value management.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports to stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a cost management or quantity surveying role with a construction consultants.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • MRICS is advantageous but not essential with a willingness to become chartered.
  • Proficiency in preparing cost plans, bills of quantities, and other traditional quantity surveying duties.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software and tools.
