Senior Quantity Surveyor

A reputable contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial management of the main access route for Sizewell C, covering a �30m groundworks package and a �30m civils package. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for ensuring the commercial success of the project, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to manage costs, procurement, and contractual obligations under NEC3 Option C contracts. This is a challenging and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile infrastructure project.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Lead the commercial management of the �60m groundworks and civils packages.
• Ensure compliance with NEC3 Option C contracts, managing cost risk and financial performance.
• Oversee valuations, variations, forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Manage subcontractor procurement and account management.
• Provide strategic commercial advice to optimize project efficiency.
• Work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure smooth delivery.

Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Extensive experience in large-scale civils and groundworks projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 Option C contracts.
• Proven track record of cost management, contract administration, and procurement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Strong IT proficiency, including cost management software and Excel.
