Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location:

West Midlands, West Midlands, Solihull

Site locations: Shrewsbury. Cholstry and Worcester

Job Type:

Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours Monday to Friday

2 days working from home

Company Branding: A medium-sized housing developer is expanding their commercial team as they have two new projects kicking off this year!

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing 3 projects in the Midlands area. You will work closely with the commercial team to ensure the successful delivery of these projects. The role offers flexibility and hybrid working, including 2 days working from home.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and oversee the financial aspects of construction projects
  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets
  • Conduct risk analysis evaluations
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitor progress and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes

Required Qualifications:

  • Driving Licence
  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools
  • Knowledge of construction processes and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, etc.)
  • Experience in the housing development sector
  • Project management certification
