About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Provide commercial leadership and guidance on projects to ensure cost-effective delivery within budget.
- Prepare and analyse cost reports, offering regular updates to the project team and stakeholders.
- Implement cost control and value management strategies.
- Prepare monthly forecasts, CVRs, and Profit & Loss statements.
- Oversee the commercial aspects of projects.
- Manage cash flow effectively.
- Handle subcontractor payments.
- Offer expertise on contractual issues.
About the benefits and rewards:
The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to �80k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.
About the requirements:
- Qualified to HND level or higher with a valid CSCS card and extensive house building industry experience.
- Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor with strong knowledge of current market conditions, rates, and building regulations.
- Highly numerate and detail-oriented, skilled in budget preparation, valuations, and live cost control across all trades.
- Proficient in project management, payment, and valuation software; strong IT skills essential in a commercial environment.
- Methodical, organised, and conscientious with a focus on delivering high standards and cost efficiency.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally.
- Capable of working independently, showing initiative, ownership, and problem-solving skills, including dispute resolution.
- Thrives under pressure in fast-paced environments, team player with a supportive, collaborative approach.
