A fantastic consultancy firm in Edinburgh are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their amazing team. You will join part of a very well-established team to help deliver all aspects of quantity surveying from inception of a project through to completion on a variety of projects within the build and real estate sectors valued up to £50m.

Responsibilities for the successful Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Feasibility estimates, cost planning, contract procurement, tender documentation, value engineering and commercial awareness, fee generation, dispute resolution, post contract management (competent in cost reporting).
Drive performance standards through expert communication and effective use of the performance management process.
Work on projects of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors and appropriate problem solving.
Manage projects effectively using APIC, Pinnacle/ePMP and other appropriate management systems/protocols.
Be aware of and develop marketing opportunities and where appropriate bring to the attention of Directors and the Business Development Department, in order that they may assist in following up potential leads enabling the development of new business.

Requirements of the successful Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Experience in Cost Planning: Area Schedules, Measurement of Quantities and entry onto Estimating software, Cost planning, Presenting Cost plan.
Competent in Tender Documentation: BQ/Pricing Schedule Measurement, Preliminaries/Appendices, Team/Project leader.
Experience in Post Contract Management: Preparation of Valuations, Final Accounts, Cost Reporting, Change Control.
Significant experience in the commercial construction market and familiarity of working within a consultancy environment
Degree qualified
Chartered with the RICS or similar or close to becoming chartered.
