We have on-site departments including Production, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, HR, QA, Finance and Payroll, and a dedicated on-site R&D team. /p p br /p p strong The Position /strong /p p Newly Weds Foods Ltd is looking for a multi-skilled, experienced, self-motivated, reliable, conscientious and proactive strong Senior Research and Development Technologist /strong to join our team in Banbury. /p p br /p p The successful candidate will be responsible for the innovative development of retail coatings for both branded and customer own label products from concept through to launch. You will work with customers, conduct factory trials of new products, develop strong relationships with colleagues and customers and take responsibility for your own administration. You will develop innovative products, both proactively and in response to customer briefs, that will exceed the customers’ expectations. /p p br /p p You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a food related discipline, have experience of concept development in a food manufacturing environment and be willing to undertake frequent travel within the UK and occasional travel overseas. You will have excellent communication, organisation, negotiation and problem-solving skills and will be a motivated self-starter. Please see the full job description for all other expectations. /p p br /p p strong What does it involve? /strong /p p You will be responsible of developing high quality coating systems for different food manufacturers, both branded and private label from concept through to launch, for your own market and customers, working hand in hand with the Sales and Key Account managers. You should have a passion for ingredient functionality, a curiosity for consumer trends and a strong understanding of the food industry (poultry, fish, potato & vegetables, meat alternatives).
