Lead System Engineer (Requirements Management)

HYBRID role (2 days Onsite and 3 days Work from Home)
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in requirements management within the aerospace and defense industry.
Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g.,
IBM DOORS ,
Jama , etc.).
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and processes.
Experience with regulatory standards and frameworks relevant to aerospace and defense (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-STD-498).
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Certification
in requirements engineering (e.g., IREB, CPRE)
is a plus .
Working Conditions
Office-based with occasional travel to customer sites and other company locations.
May require extended hours to meet project deadlines.
Job Summary
The
Requirements Manager
will oversee the elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, and management of system and subsystem requirements for aerospace and defence projects.
Ensure compliance with aerospace and defence industry standards and regulations, such as DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-STD-498, etc.
The role ensures that all requirements are documented, traceable, and aligned with customer needs and regulatory standards, and works closely with stakeholders across engineering, program management, and quality assurance.
Lead the requirements elicitation process, working with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to define and document system requirements.
Develop and maintain requirements management plans and processes in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
Utilize requirements management tools (e.g.,
DOORS ,
Jama , etc.) to capture, trace, and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct requirements analysis to ensure clarity, completeness, and feasibility of requirements.
Facilitate requirements reviews and audits, ensuring stakeholder alignment and approval.
Establish and manage requirements traceability from high-level system requirements to detailed component specifications and test cases.
Coordinate with design, development, and verification teams to ensure requirements are properly understood and implemented.
Monitor and control changes to requirements, assessing impacts on project scope, schedule, and cost.
Prepare and deliver status reports, metrics, and presentations on requirements management activities and progress.
Provide training and guidance on requirements management processes and tools to project team members.
