Senior Research / Software Engineer - MLOps

Our client, a tech-driven machine learning organisation in the finance sector, is seeking an experienced Engineer based in London. This critical role involves spearheading an exciting new market expansion, ensuring smooth operations during trading hours. As the Senior Engineer, you will handle model deployments and facilitate the availability of production data for research purposes. Your responsibilities will include developing tools and infrastructure to identify and monitor trade time data dependencies pre-trade.The Senior Research Engineer will be responsible for creating tools and engines to bring platforms and models to live trading. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, strong Python proficiency, and expertise in MLOps. You should be adept at handling model updates, latency, and resource utilisation, and possess significant experience with distributed systems.Responsibilities:Collaborate with senior researchers and technologists to explore research ideas, conduct large-scale experiments, and develop libraries to disseminate findings.Develop tools and engines for live trading models.Lead and manage research projects and processes.Oversee and support the expansion of the new market initiative.Requirements:5+ years as a Python EngineerMLOps – Putting models into deploymentStrong numeracy skills applicable to software development for research.Experience in software development within quantitative trading environments.Knowledge of iterative software development and best practices in software hygiene.Remuneration:Basic Salary: £120K - £240KBonusAdditional benefits
