Owen Mumford are looking to hire a Senior Setter! Could this be your next role?
Scope:
The Moulding Senior Setter is responsible to the Tooling Manager & Product Manager for the day to day performance of the moulded product line to include the effective operation of Mouldshop equipment and Tooling assets to produce moulded components to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that machine utilisation is maximised and maintained, and any downtime is managed to a successful conclusion.
Build and maintain robust relationships with key internal customers, notably Operations Technical and Manufacturing units to ensure a robust bi-directional understanding of needs.
Ensure that all validated processes are running within the current defined scope of the process parameters.
Set process parameters to pre-defined conditions ensuring designated output criteria are achieved.
To undertake mould trials and provide technical support for the development of robust injection moulding processes for all OM injection mould tooling development and validations
Investigate any unplanned downtime to include report generation.
To organise, maintain, monitor tooling and automation related essential spare stock levels. Updating Tooling Engineer when required.
Provide daily updates to Tooling Engineer / Tooling Manager / Production Manager.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
Experience working within a supervisory position.
Experience working within a medical device industry
Experience in the setting / Moulding of injection mould tooling systems and processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Experience in moulding process developments in a manufacturing environment.
Highly logical thinking and a creative approach to problem solving
Experience with safe working practises.
Ability to summarise, consolidate and report effectively
Basic windows & office experience
Excellent personal organisation and time management
Effective leader and team worker, equally able to work on their own
High attention to detail
Flexible attitude in carrying out different types of work
Recognised Engineering / Moulding qualification or equivalent experience.

Shift Patterns Available:
Days AM: 6am - 2pm
Days PM: 2pm - 10pm
These shifts are Monday to Friday alternating weeks
