Senior Setting out Engineer

I'm aiding a large Tier 2 contractor that have gained a solid reputation across a range of sectors in their search for a Senior Setting out Engineer with experience within S278/Highways to join their team in Milton Keynes. They have operated throughout the UK for the last 6 decades within the Rail , Highways and construction industry and due to a large influx of work , they are now looking to add a Junior and Senior Setting out engineer to their team.

Responsible for the setting out, levelling and surveying the site. Manage Workload and that of Engineer / Jnr Engineers assigned to projects. To set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made on a regular basis. Oversee As-Built Drawing process & assist with compiling As Built O&M Information. Oversee Works on site for Compliance and assist management team in reviewing Safety inc Unground Services.

Some of your responsibilities are listed but not limited to:

• To receive all drawings and information and set out sites in accordance with same.
• To provide all necessary as built drawings and information
• To plot information from and to survey equipment
• To keep measuring equipment in a suitable condition for accurate measurement.
• Oversee SSOW practise
• Manage Workload of reporting engineer
• Assisting Commercial Department
• Material Take Off and Ordering

Key skills that are required:

• Setting out
• CAD Drawings
• IT and supervisory Skills
• Problem solving and Traffic Management

Qualifications :

• HNC Civils and 5 years as an Engineer.
• Enka or similar approved qualification in setting out.
• Experience in the use of CAD software.
• CSCS Professional/Manager's Card
• PTS certificate and drug and alcohol test if working within the Rail Division.
• GCAT 4
• First Aid
