The project is being procured through the Welsh Government's Mutual Investment Model ("MIM") which is a specific model for procuring public private partnerships in Wales.The main duties will include:Support the ProjectCo General Manager and Project ManagerWork with Trust, stakeholders and local communityWork with design team, construction team and hard FM teamWork with ProjectCo specialists and experts through constructionOversight of program for design, construction, and commissioning activity for the works, ensuring quality of work and a safe site.Responsible for assisting the PM in the execution of all tasks directly related to project monitoring and construction execution related with his area of knowledge.Technical installations design monitoringConstruction monitoringMonitor the progress of the works against the construction programmeManage key information requirements within the Project Agreement/contract documentsA focus on the monitoring of the sustainability aspects of the project such as the delivery of a BREEAM excellent hospitalMonitoring of equipment solutionMonitoring of energy solution and achievement of the design & construction energy target (DCET)Monitor BIM process as described in the BIM protocol and BIM execution planDocument control / communicationManagement of meetings, agendas, minutes, and action pointsSupport PM / independent tester liaisonSupport PM / lender technical adviser liaison supportESSENTIAL CRITERIARight to work in the UKBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalentAt least 5 years’ experience in a similar role including Health building and or technical construction experienceORAt least 10 years’ experience in a similar role including Healthcare experience.ANDExcellent communication skillsCardiff base or local to CardiffBased on construction site.Hot desk/hybrid working during operational phaseHealth building and or technical construction experienceWork with the Construction teamAbility to implement a community benefits programme and manage the project websiteContribute to the successful delivery of the new Velindre Cancer CentreEnthusiastic and able to motivate the wider team working closely with ProjectCo General Manager and Project ManagerDESIRABLE CRITERIAWelsh speaker (for local community interaction and translation work)PPP experienceFirst aid qualificationKnowledge of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001Commitment to become involved with local community interaction and community benefitsIn return, you will be working on a high profile 'once in a lifetime' project where you will be supported by a collaborative team in a learning environment.
