Senior Engineer - Major Highway Project (Tuddenham)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major highway project in Bury St Edmunds on a freelance basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project, contributing to key stages of its development and execution.

Role Details:

• Position: Senior Engineer
• Location: Tuddenham
• Project: Major Highway Infrastructure
• Contract Type: Freelance (CIS)
• Duration: 6 months initially (potential for extension)
• Rate: �350 - �380 per day (CIS)
• Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee engineering aspects of the highway project, ensuring technical excellence.
• Manage site activities, ensuring work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and problem-solving expertise to the project team.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, designs, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain project progress.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and maintain accurate records of site activities.
• Implement and uphold health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in civil engineering, with a strong background in major highway projects.
• Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of highways construction, earthworks, drainage, and structures.
• Certifications: CSCS Card (essential), SMSTS (preferred).
• Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, and other relevant engineering software.
• Attributes: Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
