Job Title: Senior Site Manager

Location: Edinburgh City Centre

We are working with a leading main contractor, specialising in design and build projects delivered across a variety of sectors, who are currently seeking a talented Senior Site Manager to join their dynamic team for a large-scale new build project in the heart of Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
• Manage and coordinate all site activities, including subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and communicate updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and guidance to site teams, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
• Implement and maintain project schedules, identifying and mitigating risks as they arise.
• Collaborate with the design team to address any issues related to design and construction methods.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or similar role in main contracting, particularly with design and build projects.
• Strong background in large-scale new build projects, with experience in steel or reinforced concrete frame construction.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in construction management or a related field.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
