The position:Salter Grange are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to take a leading role in the fit-out stage of a £23 million cut and carve commercial development in the London Borough of Southwark for a main contractor. This is a critical position for a skilled professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and has a passion for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
As the Senior Site Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the day-to-day on-site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring the smooth delivery of the fit-out phase, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:\n- Lead and manage all on-site activities during the fit-out stage, ensuring progress aligns with the project programme
\n- Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring works are completed to specification and schedule
\n- Enforce rigorous quality control measures to ensure all finishes meet the project’s high standards
\n- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety on site
\n- Address and resolve site challenges promptly to keep the project on track
\n- Represent the company on-site, maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the wider project team
\n- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager, including progress, risks, and any required adjustments to the programme

Requirements:\n- Significant experience in site management roles, particularly on high-value cut and carve or fit-out projects, ideally in the commercial sector.
\n- Strong understanding of fit-out processes and structural alterations
\n- Proven ability to lead site teams and subcontractors effectively, maintaining productivity and morale
\n- A meticulous eye for quality and the ability to ensure high-spec finishes
\n- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card), and First Aid certifications are essential. A relevant trade or construction management background is desirable.
