The Opportunity

A respected residential developer is seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Site Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale housing projects (250+ units) across Kent, with sites from Herne Bay to Dartford. This is a key role with a focus on managing the entire on-site operation, from project initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for managing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

• Lead and supervise subcontractors, trades, and site teams, ensuring the quality and efficiency of work.

• Maintain strict health & safety standards across the site, promoting a safe working environment.

• Oversee materials management, site logistics, and project scheduling to ensure smooth operations.

• Ensure compliance with building regulations, NHBC standards, and all relevant safety protocols.

• Liaise with senior management and clients, providing regular updates and addressing any issues.

• Troubleshoot problems as they arise to ensure minimal disruption to the project timeline.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager, with significant exposure to large-scale residential developments (250+ units).

• Expertise in traditional and timber frame construction methods.

• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.

• Strong understanding of NHBC standards, building regulations, and site management processes.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage large teams and complex projects.

• Proven ability to manage projects autonomously and maintain high standards of performance.
