As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will drive adoption of better practice across the teams you work with.You will collaborate with application development and operations engineers in the practice of Site Reliability Engineering.You will be accountable for the reliability of the applications you support.You will actively manage the work backlog and develop reliability improvements as well as leading initiatives to develop the automation of low-value tasks balanced against project delivery demands.We work in agile, multi-disciplinary teams, and will work with development teams from the design phase to help influence them using your vision for best practice and high quality as they build, maintain and modernise applications.What skills, knowledge or experience will you need? LEAD CRITERIA: Experience of scripting to automate processes, removing toil including infrastructure and configuration as codeSkills in building and improving CI / CD PipelinesExperience of resolution of complex technical incidentsExperience of reliability engineering including capacity and performance management through monitoring, logging and alertingExperience of orchestration platforms and tools for hosting and managing containerised applicationsExperience of engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels to provide feedback and supportDetails. In return for your skills, we offer a competitive pay of up to £78,517. You'll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97% of salary, worth over to £15,000 a year.
