Senior Software Developer | Colchester | Full Time| £40,000-£50,000 depending on experience + benefits

Our client is a specialised Freight Forwarding and Fuel Distribution Software company with over 30 years of Software development experience.

The company offers a flexible working environment with standard office hours from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with option to split time between home/remote working and office after initial training period.

Are you the right person for the job?


  • Suitable candidates will have obtained a Degree or equivalent in Computing and Information Technology
  • This role will primarily require use of Progress Openedge ABL and ASP.Net Core MVC(C#) and will require a working knowledge of common data formats such as JSON, XML & EDIFACT
  • You must be a driven and passionate individual who is committed to achieving results
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills that allow you to interact with customers & colleagues
  • Proven ability to code in a number of languages & frameworks

What will your role look like?


  • Apply analytical techniques consulting with users to determine functional specifications
  • After a period of induction/familiarisation the successful candidate will be expected to liaise with clients to ascertain requirements
  • Code & Maintain existing software suites & design & build functional improvements & bug fixes
  • Support existing customer base via phone/email /face to face
